As if I couldn’t love them anymore. Chromeo just released the video for their latest single, ‘Night By Night’, and it’s fantastic fun. A story of underground dancing taking place in the far reaches of Greenpoint, Brooklyn in an abandoned warehouse. As a dancer for hire, Dave 1 slides and moves with the lucky ladies, Dirty Dancing style, in front of the bright beams of the truck’s headlights, while P-Thugg plays organizer, cashier and DJ. A great video indeed.

Chromeo Night By Night

Chromeo has released a new track after two long years. ‘Night By Night’ is the first piece of brand new music the duo has put out since their sophomore release, ‘Fancy Footwork’. I’m extremely excited as they are by far one of my favorite groups. I wouldn’t be able to describe how much I love these guys and how much I love seeing their live shows. That said, the new track is good, I love it, really because I can’t not like anything they do. But to be fair, it’s not as good as the better tracks on ‘Fancy Footwork’. It’s definitely as catchy as hell, and it’s done up in signature Chromeo style; plenty of disco, slapping bass lines, lots of funk, lyrics about irritable ladies, and words touched with a vocoder. They play around with classic rock guitars for something new in this one. Great stuff, and some kick ass, night noirish photography.
