Young Lovers

I’ve been wanting to post this song since I started this blog but for some reason it has always evaded the site, but now its time has come. It’s such a cool song. Which is a strange way to describe a song really, but that’s exactly what it is. The song, by Love Grenades, is pretty good on its own accord, but nothing you’d really come back to time and time again. But Sam Sparro funks it up with some disco. The original has a nice humming, rock synth feel, but Sparro gives it life for the dancefloor. Liz Wight’s vocals are key here, they’re classic and throwback. A 1930s feel runs through this entire track. Check out the video of the original, nicely shot in black and white with that old French Cinematic feel.

April 13th, 2010 atI have to completely disagree. The original is far superior to the Sam Sparro remix. It bugs me that I can’t find the original mp3 any where.
