Runaway

This is a random one. I was watching ‘Heroes’, which has significantly declined as an interesting TV show, with only Zachary Quinto’s character, Sylar, as the last riveting bolt in that storyline. In a scene from last nights episode featuring said character, Del Shannoon’s 60s classic, ‘Runaway’, is used. And now it’s stuck in my head, so I thought I’d put it down here and hopefully get it stuck in your head too. I’ve always loved this song, it’s such a crux in the fabric of American music and was #1 on the charts back in 1961. Though it came out in the 60s, it still has that 50s sound to it, which is one of my  favorite eras of music. I often say I grew up in the wrong decade, and if I were to choose, I think I’d pick the 50s. Then I could hang with Ritchie Cunningham and The Fonz.
