Need More Feist
I was surprised to see that I’ve never posted any Feist material because I have a lot of Feist material to post. Not anything off of her albums, but just remixes, covers and such. The first track is Diplo’s mix of ‘I Feel It All’ and Diplo does such a fantastic mix of it. I’d say one of my favorite mixes ever. A perfect mesh of indie and electro, it’s a funky, bubbling disco number. Next up is Chromeo’s remix of her track ‘Sea Lion Woman’, which itself is a cover/re-working of the Nina Simone classic, ‘See Line Woman’. Amusing play on the spelling of the track by Feist. This one is done in typical Chromeo fashion; heavy 80s, with thick, syrupy synths and strong kick drums with a firm and pounding bass line. It exudes disco in its slinky style. And it creates something unique with the jazzy, soul vocals of the song being mixed with the dancefloor thumps.
