But I Never Really Had It In Me, Did I?

‘The Sailor Song’ by The Gadsdens is such a beautiful song. The music is a mix of subtle pop, piano ballads and blues. The vocals are delivered in a haunting, scratched and yearning emotion, that go a long with the lyrics of unrequited love from a best friend. My favorite part of the song is the chorus when the narrator questions his ability to win the heart of his love, singing, ‘But I never really had it in me, did I?’. An interesting and creative animated video accompanies the song.
